Our name
In Finnish, niska has three meanings, and each one describes what we do.
It’s the nape of the neck, where every signal between the brain and the body passes. Niska connects the intelligence of AI to the body of your firm: its people, documents, and daily work.
It’s the beam that carries a building’s load. Niska carries the weight of your firm’s work, so your team doesn’t have to.
And it’s the head of the rapids, where calm water turns into current. That’s where we start in your firm, at the point its work flows from, and we turn it into momentum.
At the center is Taju, Finnish for grasp. Before we build anything, Taju grasps how your firm works. Then we build the software on it.
We chose Finnish words because they’re ours. Leo is a Finnish citizen. Tucker is part Finnish; his grandfather came to the United States in 1915.
